Google Adsense Tips Archives

Google Adsense Tips Archives: "We have unpacked our Adsense Equation in detail and have given numerous tips for maximising Adsense Revenue. Whilst there are occasions that Adsense doesnt perform as well on some websites for no particular reason as others we can safely predict that if you work on each of the four areas you should see an increase in the amount of the cheque that Adsense sends you at the end of each month. Remember though that your revenue will only be as high as your weakest link work on all elements of the equation not just one or two.
As well as the proceeding tips there are a number of other things that might be helpful to know in using Adsense that we couldnt find a place for in previous posts."

Google AdSense Tips | Web Promotion

Google AdSense Tips | Web Promotion: "1. Place the ads on the upper part of the page
Don't put the ads on the scrolling side of the page, don't hide your ads on the parts of the page where people cannot see them easily. You want people to click on them right? So put them on visible place, upper part of the page is a good choice, place on top of the page or top right column. Give your ads a proper placement, don't put the content so close to your ads, let your ads stand up from the rest of the content so that it can be seen clearly.
2. Match the ad colors to your site
You should modify the colors of the ads to match your website design, that way it will be like part of your website and will be easy on the eyes. You can even blend it to your content pages, but be careful making it seem part of the your content is an offense, and might get you in trouble with Google. Google says too much blending is illegal, if you are making people think that ads are part of the content, and if you are making them click unintentionally then you might want to consider the way you are implementing the ads on your website, otherwise one day you might receive a termination of account email from Google. So blend it to your website but at the same time make sure that it stands out from your content and not taken as your website content.
There are claims that yellow background with red text ads bring a higher click-through, I cannot confirm this at the moment. Try it out and if it works feel free to implement."

Google's own AdSense Tips

Google's own AdSense Tips: "Google is at least as interested as you are in having your ads perform well on your site. And they've gone to some work to provide the information you need to optimize your AdSense.

What's fascinating to me is that apparently not everyone bothers to read their tips. And even some that do, fail to apply it.

That said, you need to be aware that simply using their tips doesn't guarantee successful ads and decent CTR (Click Through Rate). How many times have you heard this? You have to test. You have to try alternatives and see what really works best for you, on your pages, with your content and your visitors. Test, test, test some more. Track your results, analyze them, try variations. Too many of us don't test. We hear the mantra, but we don't do the work.

First, let's see if we can get an idea about location. (The graphic is included in the article on my site or you can take a look at it at the Google link included below) Generally, above the fold, at the top center of your content, below top navigation is the hottest location. Not immediately below which is good but not quite as hot. In a left sidebar, to the immediate left of primary content or below the primary content are also good. Most other locations are generally cooler. "

One of the best Google Adsense tips ever

One of the best Google Adsense tips ever: " just launched a site called www statbrain .com, it is a free service that estimates the number of visitors any site has.

When I launched the site I put it into a couple of forums for reviews in order to get some feedback. This was very helpful and I got tons of feedback. I made a lot of changes some of them right away and other changes were a bit more low priority.

One the low priority changes was changing the look of my Adsense ads. Ive had several posts saying that the ads looked bad, because the ads were not in the same colors as the rest of the site. The ads were default Google Adsense colors.

Making sure that the Google Ads are an integrated part of your site and look like the rest of the site is not revolutionary news. It is an old Google Adsense tip and you might have heard the tip before, but I think this is interesting because this is an example of the exact result that a minor change like this can do. I have nothing to hide so Ill give you the exact numbers of the effect of this very small change."

5 Star Affiliate Blogs, Internet Marketing Blog, SEO and Google News Blog Archive Google Adsense Tips, Tricks, and Secrets: "Many affiliates use Adsense along with affiliates links even though one ad source can hurt the revenue of the other. I also see many affiliate sites, that simply don't use Adsense as well as they could. Today I found a really solid compilation of tips over at Graywolf's Wolf-Howl blog.
The article starts out with some of the basic general stuff and then moves to more specific topics. Graywolf says this about Affiliate Sites: 'Placing Adsense on affiliate sites is tricky. Are you giving up a $10, $20, or $30 sale for a $1 click? This is something you have to test on your own to figure out. If you aren't converting now it's definitely worth a try.' He then goes on to discuss PPC Arbitrage a little. Graywolf's Wolf-Howl: Google Adsense Tips, Tricks, and Secrets."

Make You Go Hmm: Google Adsense Revenue Checker

Make You Go Hmm: Google Adsense Revenue Checker: "Many websites are using the Google Adsense these days. Heck, we started using on this blog a week ago on most entry pages and have been happy with how these contexual text ads are working so far. Sure, some pages the ads dont match, but for the most part the Google Adsense program works very well serving relevant ads.
From a webmaster perspective, though, one of the hassles with Adsense is logging in and checking the stats. Man, that session timer must be set to like self-destruct in five minutes or something! (Google, please increase your session timer!) You strike up a conversation with somebody and then hit refresh and whammo you have to login again! Depending on what screen you are on too, it might take awhile before your auto-login remember code in the browser catches every login screen so you dont have to keep typing the password in again or using something like roboform. Does this situation suck or what?"

Generate Ezine Revenue With Google Adsense

Generate Ezine Revenue With Google Adsense: "By now, surely you must have heard about Google's Adsense program. Google's Adsense program delivers immediate results that exceed most 2nd tier and many 1st tier affiliate programs in terms of revenue generation.
So, how do you get started with Google's Adsense Program? Go here: https://www.google.com/adsense/ and sign up today. They will review your application and get back to you with acceptance or rejection.
This is not a revenue generating program for text ads in your email newsletter or discussion list, but rather this program is excellent for specialized content websites and your public email list web archives."

Google AdSense: publishing stats

Google AdSense: publishing stats: "So Fred Wilson has openly published Adsense statistics on his site, including analysis of them.
And then John Battelle complains about the lack of transparency in AdSense publishing - not least the restrictions on not using other contextual advertising networks, or even discussing its figures.
Not sure these people have thought it through, though.
I guess the reason Google doesn't like discussion on AdSense at least involves the fact that, if the wider public learned which areas paid out most on clicks, then Google would be faced with a flood of low-quality websites on these areas - simply to display AdSense and try to cash-in on these clicks.
Google actually already has this problem - there are people in SEO who, in publishing across different topic areas, have already built sites to harvest higher paying AdSense clicks.
At least this is only a webmastering minority, though - and it's already a problem for Google's organic search, which so far as I can tell would rather push out the affiliate and advertising-only sites in lieu of the main content sites."

A VC: $500 Per Year

A VC: $500 Per Year: "This week marks my one year anniversary using AdSense.
It's been a decent relationship.
I don't like the ads that run on my blog for the most part.
But its been a great learning experience.
And I made just over $500 in the first year.
All of that goes to the Grameen Foundation so that they can loan money to women in Uganda who are setting up cell phone businesses in their homes. I figure that at least 10 women are in the phone business in Uganda because of this blog and that's a really good thing.
Here are some stats that come from my Adsense account.
My daily earnings have steadily increased throughout the year. It's been about $2/day in the past month."

Weblogsinc reports $180,000 AdSense revenue: Internet news

Weblogsinc reports $180,000 AdSense revenue: Internet news: "Weblogsinc has announced that it is bringing in more than $600 a day in AdSense revenue.

The company said it made $45,000 via the Google advertising programme in its first four months putting its projected yearly take from AdSense revenue alone to in excess of $180,000 per year.

According to the Google Analyst Day, Jason Calacanis' Weblogsinc predicts continued growth among its site over the year and regular new additions to the network and the AdSense revenue is likely to grow further than estimated.

WeblogsInc is one of the largest publishers of professional blogs and the site added AdSense in late August 2004. The company has also enjoyed strong private advertising sales for a number of the more high profile Weblogsinc properties."

Direct Deposit for Adsense ... Finally | | Webmaster Blog | All Your Web Are Blog to Us: "Wow. Some good news coming out of the Google camp for a while. Midlifecrisis started a thread over at Webmaster World about Google Adsense now having EFT in certain countries (15 to start, including the U.S.)

It also appears there's a new expedited check option (costs money) and changes to the ToS as well.
Rejoice, though, for the direct deposit. It will be interesting to see if EFT people get their money first. Doesn't seem they've lowered the threshold, though, for getting cash. "

AdSense allows you to serve text-based Google AdWords on your web site and receive a share of the pay-per-click payment. AdSense ads are similar to the AdWords ads you see on the right-hand side at Google when you do a search there.

AdSense is having a huge impact on the affiliate marketing industry. Weak affiliate merchants will die faster than ever and big ad networks are going to lose customers fast.

If you're a merchant running a lousy affiliate program, now's the time to improve it FAST."
